New London Field of Greens posted on February 6: New London Field of Greens Farmers’ Market is searching for a Farmers' Market Manager.
Field of Greens Market Mission The mission of the New London Local First sponsored Field of Greens(FoG) Farmer’s Market is to provide a central, downtown venue for local farmers and artisans to sell their produce and products directly to the diverse and integrated community of southeastern Connecticut. The market will also serve New London’s Southside (L&M Field of Greens Market).

Role of the Market Manager Market management requires a dedication to community markets which bring together both local buyers with our area food producers (farmers and fisheries). The role of the manager is to coordinate the weekly market at both sites mentioned above by assuring vendor requirements are met and customer issues are addressed in a timely fashion. The role requires working with a variety of farmers and volunteers to provide a lively and attractive experience to the customers who will frequent the market.

REQUIRED: valid driver’s license
Start Date: March 23, 2026
Hours/Week: The market will begin on Friday June 1 2026. A candidate who can attend weekly strategic meetings commencing March 23 – May 25th is a preference. The market will continue to operate through October 31, 2026. There are two markets – one on Wed. and the other on Friday, each running for 4 hours.

Maximum hours – 20 hours per week includes market setup and clean up @ $15/hour
