buyCTgrown posted on September 24: Fresh is local on Saturday, October 27th,as the Wheeler Library holds the North Stonington's first farm to table dinner -A Local Affair-featuring meats, scallops, produce, honey, cheeses and other goods from a wide selection of local farms all prepared by the culinary talents at A Thyme to Cook accompanied by a selection of beverages from Jonathan Edwards Vineyards and local breweries. Art and other locally themed silent auction items will also complement the evening. Tickets are $125 per person for this multicourse sit down dinner event that will take place from 6-9:30 PM at our historic library. Seating is limited. Tickets and additional information are available at Wheeler Library, 101 main Street, North Stonington or by calling the library at 860.535.0383 or visiting the website at www.wheelerlibrary.org. Wheeler Library is a private non-profit facility that has served as the public library for the residents of North Stonington for more than a century. This October, the library will host a unique fundraising event that celebrates the bounty of our town as well as the region.
