Alpacas at Scotland Hill

About Alpacas at Scotland Hill

Bob and Pauline Hamel started Alpacas at Scotland Hill four years ago as an exciting post-retirement business venture. Together, they breed prize-winning alpacas and produce quality alpaca fiber. Dedicated to keeping their business small, Bob and Pauline put all of their energy into caring for their animals and building personal relationships with their customers.

At their farm store, the Hamel's offer finished products made from alpaca wool, many from Peru and some made locally. Be sure to check out their fleece, yarn, roving, and wool blankets made from their own fiber! Bob, Pauline and their herd of alpacas love having visitors during their open farm weekends in the fall or by appointment. They are especially excited that this year, Governor Rell proclaimed September 29th “National Alpaca Farm Day.”
