Green Acres Farm

About Green Acres Farm

Green Acres Farm started in the early 1950” by Harry Barnes with his sons Wallace and Harry. Originally they raised a few black angus cows which helped to keep the grass down in the pastures. Through the years they have raised sheep, pick your own
strawberries, capons and pigs but they have finally settled on vegetables, plants, hay, pick your own pumpkins and beef. Thanks to the hard work of their farm manager, Dave Slipke, we have become a very popular stopping place for fresh vegetables, especially corn.
