About Footsteps Farm
When you visit Footsteps Farm, Craig Floyd is apt to playfully remind you that “you are what you eat,” which is why he and Sheryl, his wife, dedicate themselves to providing free-range, antibiotic and chemical free meats that they raise on the farm themselves. Even more importantly, Footsteps Farm is one of the only certified humane farms in Connecticut, because Craig and Sheryl insist that their animals lead happy, healthy, stress-free lives.
Footsteps Farm, rich with agricultural history, has been in the Floyd family since 1712. The stone walls on the farm are the original ones built by Craig’s forebears and remind him everyday that wherever his feet walk the ground, they are in the same footsteps of his ancestors; with this in mind, Craig and Sheryl let the name of their farm honor those stewards of the land that preceded them.
Featured on Faith Middleton’s WNPR radio show, The Food Schmooze, Footsteps Farm is widely known for its delicious Bourbon Red Turkeys, Delaware Chickens, Tamworth Hogs and more! Even Martha Stewart says that Footsteps’ chicken is the best she’s ever eaten.
For more information about ordering Footsteps' all-natural meats, give Craig and Cheryl a call or visit them at the Denison Farmers' Market.
