About Metro Bis
High-quality cuisine that has earned accolades from the New York Times, Zagat Survey and Connecticut Magazine - with a locally grown flair. Metro Bis chef-owner Chris Prosperi is committed to taking exceptional locally grown produce and transforming it in his kitchen.
And Chris is not just assembling locally grown food from a random roster of farmers. He is engaged in a year-round relationship with Holcomb Farm in nearby Granby, a farm that supplies organic produce to hundreds of people in Hartford. "I feel great working with Holcomb Farm. I know that our purchases not only gives us great produce to work with, but supports their efforts to bring locally grown food to people in need in the Hartford area who can't afford fresh organic produce. Our customers help us feed those in need."
Fresh local produce, artfully prepared. No wonder the New York Times calls Chris, "an original American chef who's restaurant is worth travelling for."
Chris Prosperi is also the creator of Prosperi Salad Dressings which include Tomato Ginger, Balsamic Vinaigrette and Caesar. Visit http://metrobis.com/dressings/to learn more.
