Nestled in the beautiful White Hills of Shelton, Connecticut, lies one of the state's premier wineries. The balance of rich soil, southwestern-facing slopes, and an experienced 6th generation farmer working the land, combine to make Jones Winery a true treasure for all Connecticut residents and visitors to cherish and enjoy. Connecticut Magazine named the Jones Winery the Best Wine in 2024.

  • Jones Winery at Jones Family Farms - Homestead Farm

    The Homestead Farm is the core location for the Jones Family Farms operations.  It is the correspondence address as our farm offices are located here.

    Always call Farmer Jones ahead of time for accurate picking information and conditions before you visit.  (203-929-8425)

    Winery Tasting Room - Open from mid March until December 31.  Days and Hours of operation vary through the year.  The Tasting Room is located in the restored Historic Dairy Barn, the largest red barn structure in the barnyard area.  Park in the paved parking lot, and follow the wine barrels to the Tasting Room.

    Christmas Trees - Open from November until December.  Available as Harvest-Your-Own, or Fresh-Cut by our staff in our barns.  Field locations for harvesting are popularly referenced as "Candy Cane Hill", "North Pole" and "South Pole". 

    Harvest Kitchen Cooking Studio - Open from April until December for scheduled events of both Cooking Education and Wine Education classes.  Register for classes on our website or in-person at the Winery's Tasting Room.

    Friday Farmers Market - Operating on Friday afternoons in July and August.

    Dates: July 4- August 29. 2024

    Times: Fridays, 3:30pm- 6:30pm

    Local farmers gather to provide fresh produce directly to customers.

    Strawberry/Blueberry/Pumpkin - Our other farm locations conduct Harvest-Your-Own activities for Strawberry (Jun-Jul), Blueberry (Jul-Aug) and Pumpkin (Sep-Oct) crops and they are NOT available at this location, but either our Pumpkinseed Hill Farm or Valley Farm locations depending upon crop availability (Call Farmer Jones ahead of time for picking information and conditions: 203-929-8425)

    Strawberry - Harvest-Your-Own activity typically takes places from June until July.  Normal business hours for strawberry season are Mon-Sat 8:00AM-5:30PM, and Sun 8:00AM-12:00PM.  Be sure to call for daily updates (203-929-8425) as the schedule and picking locations may change.  This is New England and days/times change as quickly as the weather does.  Strawberry picking also occurs at our Valley Farm location.

    Blueberry - Harvest-Your-Own activity typically takes places from July until August.  Normal business hours for blueberry season are Tue-Sat 9:00AM-5:30PM.  We are closed on Sundays and Mondays in the Blueberry fields.  Just like strawberries, hours and picking location can change daily, so be sure to call for daily updates (203-929-8425). Blueberry picking also occurs at our Valley Farm location.

    Pumpkins - Harvest of pumpkins, gourds and squash takes place from late September until October.  The farm’s "preview" weekend is usually the last weekend in September and the season runs daily through Halloween. Guests can visit the farm from 10:00AM–5:30PM. Call 203-929-8425 for updates on hours depending on weather.

    Vegetable Farm Stand - Operating during Strawberry, Blueberry and Pumpkin seasons only when this location is open for those Harvest-Your-Own activities.  A variety of vegetables are available that we have harvested freshly from our gardens.  A small selection of our popular wines are also available.
